Spring is here in Northern Ontario, and with the melting snow, comes wedding season in full swing! I’m excited to share in some very special days with many couples embarking on new adventures together in life. Working as a wedding photographer I’ll get to travel to many amazing places to do this…And today I’m sharing one of my favourites, a quiet, beautiful little spot…A real gem in the heart of the Muskokas: Trillium Resort & Spa, in Huntsville, Ontario.
This place is truly something to see…A gorgeous main building with a vaulted timber frame banquet hall, and chalets tucked away in the woods, all at the edge of a quiet lake. It is a serene, peaceful place, and the perfect spot for a Muskoka wedding!
Amy & Rob had a truly incredible wedding here. It was a beautiful spring day, the sun was shining, and their friends and family had gathered to celebrate the love they shared.
I was struck by the attention to detail taken in the amazing decor, from one of North Bay’s best wedding decorators P2 Weddings. Jess, the owner always delivers on a stunning setup, and this was no exception. Of course the bride & groom had some really special touches to add for their guests, from sandals to wear (perfect for tired dancing feet) to the unique wedding favours.
There were other details that were equally amazing…Not least of which was the incredible wedding cake by Sweet Couture, who also made the most amazing golf ball cupcakes!
And so it was, that I found myself along with my awesome second shooter Sabrina at Trillium Resort, to capture Rob & Amy’s beautiful wedding day. It was full of laughter, smiles, and good times….and I was happy to have the chance to photograph this amazing day for them. Here are a few more of my favourite photos of the day.
I can’t wait for all the summer fun to come with this wedding season, and for the chance to return to Trillium Resort for the next wedding…If you haven’t heard of them before, please check them out! A year round destination, they are a little piece of paradise, perfect not just for a Muskoka wedding, but for a romantic getaway any time of year. Thanks again for visiting the blog!
