Happy New Year!
Well 2017 was quite the year… I quit my day job & have been working as a full time photographer, which is truly a dream come true.
We traveled 1500 miles across California, from the tide pools of LaJolla, to the alien landscape of Joshua Tree, the San Fransisco Bay area & my favourite: Yosemite National Park.
It was a trip I will never forget.
I am so excited for 2018, as it is shaping up to be my busiest year yet for my photography business. I can’t wait to see what adventures await me & my little family.
Following on the tradition of last year, I am making a blog post about my ‘Instagram Best Nine’. These are my most liked images from the year. Some are old, some are new, but they all are amazing in their own way!
I posted 431 photos in 2017, and felt the love with 31508 likes!
And so here are the images…I’ve included some of the original Instagram caption with each of them, and linked them back so you can check them out there too.
Enjoy, and all the best for 2018!!!
I’ve been waiting months to take this one photo.
What you don’t know is how incredibly crowded it was when I took this. I had to wait until the sun had set to get this image without anyone in it.
Scripps Pier, LaJolla, California
Yosemite. Today we drove through the valley one last time. Saw the last red rays of sunlight on the face of Half Dome. The mists thundering from the raging waterfalls… There is so much more I wanted to see & do in this beautiful place. The views so stunning I had tears in my eyes… I could spend a lifetime exploring here.
Taft Point, Yosemite National Park, California
Miss Tara. She doesn’t just love dance, but shares this love with hundreds of students every year at the dance school she runs with her sister.
North Bay, Ontario, Canada
Lajolla, I have fallen in love with your wild shoreline.
LaJolla tide pools, San Diego, California.
Adelaide. Happy birthday little squisher.
Early morning reflections. Being up so early meant getting to photograph the park without the throngs of tourists everywhere!

The Red Man. From a Milky Way photo session with my good friend and fellow Fuji shooter Roger.
This was about as full as the eclipse got here… Still pretty amazing to see!
The happy little bunny at our house today.
