Portraits in Ottawa - with the Leica M10 + Zeiss Distagon

Hey there, I’m Shawn. I’m a portrait photographer in Ottawa.

A good friend of mine took me out to a lovely spot known as 'The Pines' not too far from where I live.
I invited Sydney along, so I could do a portrait session with her while we were there. I had worked with Sydney on a couple of occasions a few years back, and was happy to get the chance to do so again.

The photos

Here are some of my favourites. All taken with a Leica M10 digital camera and Zeiss Distagon 35mm 1.4 ZM lens.

I can’t praise this camera and lens combo enough.
If you know the Zeiss Distagon 1.4 ZM lens, YES it is kinda large compared to a lot of other M-mount lenses.
BUT it is hands-down my FAVOURITE M-mount portrait lens. I’ve tried many others and keep coming back to this one again and again. If you are thinking about getting it, you won’t regret it for an instant.
When I travel, this is still my one lens I bring with me.
Anyhow, here are the photos from this session!
