Keith Campbell - Master Potter - Medium Format Film

I'm part of a pottery guild, and am fortunate to have the chance to watch & learn from Keith Campbell, a master potter with not just incredible talent, but incredible generosity.

He shares his knowledge & humour freely, and I love getting the chance to soak in a bit of it when I can.

The Film Photographs

I attended a class of Keith's recently, where he shared some insight into creating plates on the wheel, and I brought along my Mamiya 645 pro TL medium format film camera to grab a few frames of the process.
Captured with Ilford XP2 B&W film, I really love the way these turned out.

The film is rated at ISO 400, and I pushed it to 800, as I knew I would be shooting in low light. It gives the images a little more contrast and grain.
