These are people who have decided that bearing witness is not enough.
Changemakers is an ongoing series of portraits and conversations with people who are doing the work. Activists, organizers, healthcare workers, artists, parents, retirees — people from every walk of life who have looked at the world and chosen action over silence.
Each subject sits down with me and speaks. About what drives them, what gives them hope, and how others can get involved. The photographs are mine. The words are theirs.
I started this project because I believe that proximity to people doing hard, important work is one of the most useful things a photographer can offer. The camera creates a reason to have a conversation. The conversation becomes the record.
